"Mobile" means to move. Mobile solar power is the application of a solar energy system on a mobile platform. The most common mobile solar power application is the use of solar power systems on recreational vehicles, otherwise known as RVs. Other mobile platforms that use solar power are expedition vehicles, vans, and buses. Solar is also mounted to trailers that are deployed to provide power in grid-down situations, such as a natural disaster. If a solar power system is not attached to a fixed structure, be it a house, building, or anchoring point such as a ground-mounting system, it can probably be considered to be mobile.
